We are excited to announce our partnership with our favorite professional baseball player, Connor Jones! At the start of the 2019 season, Connor released news that he will be "Giving Back With Groundouts" donating $15 to TMF for every ground ball out he pitches.
Connor is the epitome of the type of representation we want associated with this non-profit. Connor won the High School Baseball State Title at Great Bridge HS in Chesapeake, VA. From there he went on to win the NCAA D1 National Title during his outstanding career at the University of Virginia. In 2016 he was drafted in the 2nd round to the St. Louis Cardinals, where he continues to make his push for the Major League roster.
Connor has been a friend to some of our board members dating back to grade school and became close with Kevin Husum through competition between JMU and UVA baseball. We are truly touched to have Connor team up with us to continue our goal: Uplift the youth by getting them physically active by providing resources to participate in sport and recreation. Connor, if you are reading this, you are the man!
Connor is donating $15 for every ground out this season. Over the last two professional seasons, he ranks among the leaders in his ground ball to fly ball ratio. Please follow the link below to keep up with our journey to reach the goal of $10,000.
